There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly. -Buckminster FullerHello,
Have you been feeling the itch of spring? That feeling of “I need to do something” but having no idea what that “something” is? Well, I too have fallen victim to this restlessness! I’ve been daydreaming about moving from my apartment or office into some new digs for a fresh start. Perhaps it’s to change cities, state or country; to go elsewhere. The reality is, I do not have any idea where I would go nor do I have the means to do it. I’m such a fancy dreamer! And honestly, the thought of starting over- building a new practice and attracting new clientele again- makes me helplessly throw my hands up in the air! In Chinese medicine, this is the transition from the winter organs of Kidneys and Urinary Bladder (water element in the 5 element theory) going into spring. “The element of wood is associated with spring, a time of birth and new beginnings. The wood element refers to living, growing entities: trees, plants and the human body,” writes Elson M. Haas, MD, in Staying Healthy With the Seasons (Celestial Arts, 2003). Read on: https://experiencelife.com/article/five-elements-for-five-seasons/ Lucky for me, something else has recently come about. I’m honored to share with you that I have been asked to teach! Typically, I have always declined such requests, perhaps from my own insecurity and fear of not knowing what I would talk about. This year is different. I’m sparked to say a resounding, “Yes!” Time to grab my pants by the belt buckle and change! Maybe following through on this yes is the very thing that will prompt me to get out there and teach more. This will surely grow me! This year has already provided me with such wonderful teachings that I am certain that more gifts will come from this opportunity. So, without further ado, here are the deets! • Tuesday, May 29th at Pura Luna’s Apothecary (2009 Chapala Street) 6:30PM (free to attend, read more below). • Saturday, June 2nd, 9AM-3:15PM. I’ll offer short insights at The Expressed Woman workshop. This event is also free to attend, although you must pre-register, to do so, click the image card below for more details. Well, I can already feel that I need a session or two with someone to work on my innards to help release these monarch butterflies in my gut, to get them back on course to their migration south to Mexico. It’s been a nice pit stop, but... Hope to see you soon! With warmth, -Jada
