![]() Hope in the dark. What a month! Since the June newsletter, Santa Barbara has experienced multiple simultaneous wildfires, and more continue to burn. Tragedy in Florida, Turkey, and Bangladesh. Mother England has left the EU, the June primary election has ignited political fervor and the great world still spins. Of course these things are only some of the things happening globally; we know only that which makes it into our media and communication portals. But then we have our own personal world of issues that we’re dealing with: family, friends, partners in business, partners in relationship, children, no children, summer break, no break, work, no work, health, hope and the pursuit of happiness, just to name a few things! I don’t know about you, but I have felt mentally, physically and spiritually exhausted of late. Yet, I also feel grateful for everything that has helped me grow and to expand in the last month and helped me to cope with such epic times. I reflected back to last year and our July newsletter. I had made a “Post 4th of July request”, it seems as we’re on a hamster wheel and not going anywhere! Déjà vu? The growth “spurt” I had last month as I mentioned above, was mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and without it, I may be “depleted” right now, instead of the more benign, “exhausted.” I have come to know the importance of having a team of people that keep me in check. My brain is happier due to a weekly workout with neurofeedback and daily meditation. My body experiences massage each month (at least one per week) and I’ve been exercising and brace yourselves—loving it! I’m giving my spirit a good dose of abundance by sitting in nature and allowing it to have dominion over me. Had I not felt so wonderful and awesome prior to all of these things I would have handled it in a different way, this I know! It’s been surprising for me to see the sheer differences of my new coping mechanism. Yes- I’m exhausted, but not deflated, hopeless or helpless. To quote Rebecca Solnit, cultural historian, social and political activist, spiritual warrior, and author of Hope in the Dark, no matter what difficulties we face, we must never give up, because “Today is also a day of creation.” In fact, I have so much more to give- so much more to offer. I’ve literally seen a huge shift in my work with my clients in that last week! I feel so happy and blessed to share and support you in your journey whether emotional, physical or spiritual. For this July I now request ultimate care of YOU. I know, I sound like a broken record here as I practically say some version of this every few months, but do you see my point? If you are in your strength, power- you attract the support of that strength—you exist perfectly in your “suchness”, the quiet power of faith guiding your strength. When in balance and strength, all start to follow your lead and model themselves to match. Do you remember when you were young who you aligned yourself with and how they kept you grounded, laughing or curious? Be the alliance of hope. Please use my resource page to find services you need, also come and get some of this amazing-ness I have to share while it’s hot. Share with me what’s alive for you, what’s working and what’s not. Let your voice be heard what you have to say IS important and really, really matters! Mostly thank you ALL for giving me so much love, joy and reason you are incredible mirrors. And thank you for the abundant feedback on my new website, logo, image. Your positive comments and thoughtful input keep me Hopeful. Yours always Jada
