Don't fight forces, use them. -Buckminster FullerHello,
I hope your new year has gotten off to a wonderful start. Mine has begun more like the fourth of July: fireworks, celebration, excitement. There are several reasons for this incredible start, though for now, I’ll share the one that’s most important for you to know. In short, my office at 1811 State Street will come to a close on January 31st. This location has been a jewel; I’m thankful for everything that it’s been. And despite my excitement and anxiety that always accompany relocating, I consider the new place that I’ve found also to be a jewel, even the jewel worthy of being placed in a crown! The story of how it found me: When I worked in the Balboa Building, I’d pass this place nearly every day on my walks to and from work. I appreciated it’s rustic look and feel and thought it odd that it was the only house on that block in the middle of downtown. I had even taken photos of it years ago wondering who worked there? I began wondering if I could work there too? And if so, would my work be a match? My desire to know was so strong that I held the notion for years. Finally, (what was I waiting for, it to land on me like the Wicked Witch of the East in "Wizard of Oz"?) I took action! And after several search’s for who occupied the building of 1010 Anacapa Street, I found, “Therapists in Community”. I reached out, and with some assistance from friends, found the contact person and asked if there happened to be any spaces available. If so, would they be open to other modalities of work? And so the search story ends here, in a building full of MFTs (Marriage and Family Therapists). They were open to other modalities indeed and they’ve taken me in. I am grateful beyond words that I was considered and received. Hope you’ll come to Christen the space...feels like déjà vu you say? Trust me, I know. First Tune Up Tuesday will be Tuesday, February 5th and like before, together we’ll have to figure out the flow of things. Thank you for your patience on this. We’ll celebrate Valentine’s Day early on the 12th, come by for your locally made Twenty-four Blackbirds single origin handmade artisan chocolates, while supplies last. link: http://www.twentyfourblackbirds.com/ I look forward to seeing you soon, see the sneak peek video and photos below. All of my love, Jada P.S. Just to make clear, I’ll remain at 1811 State Street, Suite G, until the end of January. February 3rd will be the first working day at the new location. Parking is directly across the street in the cities Lot 8 and Lot 9 is only a block away!
